Welcome to Bulldog Busy Bodies!!
Welcome to Sunset Lake Elementary Schools Physical Education website!
I am super excited about having a PE web page! This site was created by me, Angie Getsinger, in order to inform and communicate more with the students and parents here at Sunset Lake Elementary!
My goal is to use this site to let you know more about what is happening "in the gym" on a weekly basis, share websites that can link you to our PE Curriculum, Mile Club Information, Heart Healthy tips, Gym schedules, games/activities to get kids moving "in your own back yard," and much much more!!
The quote below is taken from the Michigan Department of Education website about PE and felt it also expresses my feelings about PE:
"Physical education helps students develop the knowledge, fitness levels, motor skills, and personal and social skills to obtain the ultimate goal of a lifetime of physical activity and health. All children, from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, should participate in quality physical education classes every school day. A quality physical education program should include curriculum aligned instruction and assessment and an opportunity for all to learn." ~ Deb Burkey WMU
